We are happy to welcome many senior pets and pets with existing medical conditions, provided their needs can be safely managed in our boarding environment. We do not charge any additional fees for senior pet care, and our experienced team can administer most medications, including tablets, liquids, and topical treatments, as directed by your veterinarian. Please note that we are unable to accommodate diabetic pets.

As pets age, changes to their health can occur quickly and sometimes without warning. Even pets that appear healthy can develop unexpected medical issues during their stay. For this reason, we recommend that owners carefully consider whether boarding is the best option for elderly pets or those with significant or complex health conditions. In some cases, home care or veterinary boarding may be more appropriate.

That said, we have many senior guests who stay with us regularly and enjoy comfortable, happy holidays. If your pet falls into this category, we encourage you to give us a call before booking so we can discuss their individual needs and determine whether our facility is the right fit.

To help us provide the best possible care, we require a Health Declaration to be completed for:

• Small dogs over 12 years of age
• Medium and large dogs over 10 years of age
• Cats over 12 years of age
• Pets of any age with complex medical conditions or those we consider to be at higher risk

This form gives us a more detailed understanding of your pet’s health, routine, and any special requirements, allowing us to tailor their care and make their stay as safe and comfortable as possible.

If your pet is taking any medications during their stay, we also require you to complete our Medication Permission Form prior to check in. This ensures we have clear instructions for administering their medication safely and accurately
