Due to their strength, size, and individual behavioural needs, some breeds may require a trial stay prior to their first booking. This helps us ensure we can provide the safest and most comfortable environment for them.
Breeds that may require a trial include American Akita, American Bulldog, American Staffie, Anatolian Shepherd, Belgian Malinois, Belgian Shepherd, Bernese Mountain Dog, Bull Arab, Bull Mastiff, Bull Terrier, Cane Corso, Caucasian Shepherd, Doberman, Dogue de Bordeaux, Dutch Shepherd, German Shepherd, Great Dane, Maremma, Newfoundland, Pitbull Terrier, Pyrenees, Tibetan Mastiff, and similar large or powerful breeds.
Any dog presenting behavioural concerns will also require a trial stay prior to their first admission.
A short introductory day stay or overnight stay is often very helpful in assessing how each dog settles into a busy kennel environment. It allows them to gently become familiar with our team, daily routine, and surroundings, while gradually adjusting to the new sights, sounds, and smells they will experience during their stay. This helps set them up for a calmer and more positive boarding experience.
Trial stays are available on Mondays, Thursdays, and Sundays during off peak periods only. A successful trial must be completed before any future reservations can be confirmed, so we recommend planning ahead.
